My path into photographing weddings
My photography career started with an interest in photographing the unknown. In many ways photography seemed like a good excuse to see things I would otherwise not see.
This interest took me to Hindu and Sikh Festivals and then music festivals, including Reading and Download. My early work covered everything from undertakers to professional models. These days I photograph editorial, PR and marketing assignments for numerous clients.
You’ll notice I avoid talking about myself in the third person – this is because I offer a personalised service. I take the work I do very seriously, but that’s completely different from taking myself seriously – sadly too many wedding photographers do just that.
It was the frustration of seeing other wedding photographer’s work, coupled with demand for my services which led me to working full time in photography.
Before turning professional, I trained as a journalist. Over the years I have also acquired experience with graphic design, video and sound production and website design.
